Topic – The joyous ageing body
Rediscovering the silliness and sensuality of the dancing body.

We are told older women are invisible. But not to each other.
So how can a space created for mature women facilitate the rediscovery of the joyous body, maybe only vaguely remembered from childhood?
If we privilege the felt experience over the aesthetic we can reclaim ourselves as expressive and full of joy.

I am the doctor of disco. In my past I have been a performer, choreographer, teacher, director & academic, but I have always worked with the moving body.
Today, I create safe spaces for mature women to dance with confidence & freedom.
Through dance we can age with a developing physical capacity, upending the lie that ageing is merely a decline.
Preparing for your session:
Please come prepared by wearing something loose and comfortable and clearing a space in which you can move freely. Have some drinking water handy and some writing/drawing materials. You may also like to set a personal intention for your dance/movement session.
NOTE: Attendees at IDTIA events are required to be there in person, and will be expected to put their camera on for at least a short time during the event, or communicate via chat.
The use of AI Assistants will not be permitted.
